Raise a Little Cane - Countdown to Cleaner, More Affordable Energy

| More

After 30 years, the ethanol tariff and subsidies are set to expire at the end of 2011. The subsidy hands out $6 billion in taxpayer dollars every year – while the tariff blocks access to much cleaner, more affordable options like sugarcane ethanol from Brazil. It’s a terrible deal for pretty much everyone.

We need to keep the pressure on Congress now more than ever.

In just a few minutes, you can tell Congress to stop blocking clean energy alternatives, spread the word to your friends and help stop corn ethanol from sealing any last minute deals. Select an option above and help bring an end the tariff and subsidies once and for all.
