Sugarcane Ethanol: Powering Savings at the Pump

Most gasoline contains some ethanol, but not all ethanol is created equal. Ethanol from sugarcane is typically 60-cents-per-gallon less than the price of corn-based ethanol, which should lead to lower prices at the pump. Consumers never see that savings though, because of a tariff on imported ethanol.
