Congratulations to our Grand Prize Winners!

As part of our month-long gas card giveaway, we set aside over $1,000 in cards to donate to charities for which gas is a mission-critical expense. Today we are thrilled to congratulate our Grand Prize winners who will each receive $540 in free gas. The remaining organizations will still receive $54 - so everybody wins! We'd also like to extend a huge thanks to everyone who participated throughout the month and made this effort a great success.

Grand Prize Winners:

USO-Metro – the USO of Metropolitan Washington offers emergency food assistance to service members and their families who are in extreme financial hardship. The gas cards will be distributed along with grocery store gift cards and food pantry items.

George Washington Hospital Mobile Mammography Program - this self-contained mobile unit offers one-stop breast cancer screening for all women throughout metropolitan Washington, regardless of their ability to pay. Gas cards will go to fuel the “Mammovan.”

Third and Fourth Place

So Others Might Eat - a community-based organization whose Caregivers program delivers food to homebound, low-income senior citizens in the nation’s capital. Gas cards will be given to the program's driving volunteers, many of which are also low-income.

Purple Heart Car Donation - donates vehicles to veterans in need of transportation. Gas cards would be given to these veterans and their spouses.
